Had a wonderful stay in this hotel. Very friendly staff. Convenient for Vondelpark. A lovely clean and comfortable room with a comfy bed and a nice bathroom. The hotel manager was very helpful and informative. We would definitely stay again.

2nd time at Huygens Place and I still like it :) Staff very attentive and kind, helpful with tips about the city, even some discounts have been provided to go rent bicycles at the corner of the street. Very silent room, modern with the necessary amenities. Hotel has a pleasant common area and also a terrasse to receive guests. Location is perfect to go enjoy the city center, near all public transports. You can go by walk to the canals and it is less than 10mins walk from the Rijksmuseum & Van Gogh museum. It is a quiet area with nice restaurants and parks around. I recommend and will come again soon!

I very much enjoyed my stay here! Very nice, clean, comfortable. My basic single room was on the third floor; partial walk up narrow stairs. It was perfect for me. The (typical European) elevator fits 2 people or 1 with suitcase. My room had a nice modern bathroom with half glass shower (entire bathroom floor gets wet) & squeeze pump toiletries. Room has a window that opens, and a mini itsy bitsy fridge that isn't too cold. Room is renovated and is equipped with modern plugs/outlets. Very friendly and professional front desk staff. They have a storage/luggage hold area. For the price, I think continental breakfast should be included. Make sure you try the Indonesian restaurant around the corner. Also nice Thai restaurant for take out or eat in steps away. There are two groceries in either direction within 2 minutes walk. Walkable to the museums and Vondelpark 5 to 10 minutes. From here its a 40 minute continuous walk to Central Train Station (without shopping stops). The trams & trains are all within a minute walk - you can transfer. There is a cheap bike rental shop nearby - fun to bike at Vondelpark. There is just so much to do and so much to see in Amsterdam!

Stayed four nights and loved how hotel was in a quieter area and close to trams to go anywhere in Amsterdam. Good restaurants and cafes. Bike rental on same block. Room was comfortable and good amenities. Would definitely stay there again! Perfect!

I was mostly happy with the friendly and helpful staff. When we arrived in a cold and rainy late morning after a long flight, they offered a restful spot, a snack and coffee in the lobby. It was very appreciated. As many reviews mentioned, the location is convenient for museum visits; you can walk to most places or take the tram. The room we stayed is very small, facing the courtyard, so we had no noise issue. Things were clean. At the time of our travel, all hotels in Amsterdam were very pricey. This hotel was expensive, but relatively affordable when compared with others in town. One small issue is that the front door is by the sidewalk of a busy street. Cars can't really stop there for pickup and drop off. The closest street corner for that purpose is about 50 meters away; not far, but you wouldn't know if you use this hotel for the first time.
